We Won!

The Citizens’ Preservation Fund has received a wonderful holiday gift.  We won!  The Administrative Law Judge who presided over the hearing in late August has ruled in our favor by recommending denial of the permit for the landfill proposed by Out of Bounds, Inc.
We are grateful to everyone who has participated in, contributed to, and encouraged us in achieving this positive outcome.  We are especially appreciative of the efforts of our attorney, John Thomas, for his expertise and guidance.  We continue to honor and remember with gratitude our founder, Paige Cool, for her leadership and belief in this cause.
Since the formation of the Citizens’ Preservation Fund (CPF) we have experienced tremendous support from you. However, there are still a couple of steps left in this permitting process and we will still have further expenses associated with court costs, attorney fees, and the cost of any appeals (should they become necessary.)  We therefore still need and appreciate your contributions.
Please send your donations (made payable to Citizens’ Preservation Fund) and any suggestions to Chad Lenoir at:

Our founder, Paige Cool, stated her hope that the Citizens’ Preservation Fund would continue after the resolution of the landfill to help our community face challenges to our selected lifestyle.  We will likely face other issues in the future; some are already rumored to be in the works.  CPF plans to continue to assist with any other developments that may impact our community in the future.
Thank you to all of those members who have contributed in the past and who continue to support the CPF.  Your support also sustains the best of Hernando County and the Withlacoochee State Forest.  New supporters are always welcome.
We wish each of you a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a healthy and prosperous New Year.  We hope that this news adds to the joyous celebration of the season.
With gratitude to our CPF Team,

Chad Lenoir

CPF Business Sponsors

We cannot thank the community enough for stepping up to the plate in helping us get to where we are today.  Everyone truly has pulled together to show their commitment to preserving Hernando County, the Withlacoochee State Forest and all the precious assets that such hold.  Here are a few of CPF's business sponsors.  Some businesses have chosen to remain anonymous.  We thank these local businesses so very much for their commitment to supporting the community and fighting
the Croom C&D Landfill.  To find out how to be a CPF Sponsor, please visit the
